An Olivehurst probation search uncovered what investigators described as a DMT operation, leading to the arrest of a 43 year old Yuba County man, according to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.

In a release dated November 1st, 2026, the Sheriff’s Office said its Problem Oriented Policing team arrested Keith Lowman, 43, of Olivehurst on October 13th after executing what the agency described as a probation search warrant in the 1100 block of Holly Avenue.

Detectives reported finding an operation involving dimethyltryptamine, commonly known as DMT, during the search. The Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force, also known as BINTF, responded to assist with processing the operation.

What is DMT?

The Sheriff’s Office describes DMT as a powerful, naturally occurring psychedelic compound in the tryptamine family that can produce intense visual and auditory hallucinations.

The photograph released by the agency shows investigators working beside buckets, containers and a line of small sample vials arranged on white paper. It documents the processing of what investigators identified as the DMT operation. The release does not identify the contents of each container or provide laboratory testing results.

Arrest and details released

Lowman was booked into the Yuba County Jail on several narcotics related charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The announcement did not list specific charges, quantities recovered, bail or a court date.

The arrest and allegations do not establish guilt. Lowman is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
