Weed Police Report 1,923 Incidents, 10 Arrests During October

The Weed Police Department recorded 1,923 incidents during October 2026, offering a look at calls for service, officer initiated activity and traffic enforcement in the Siskiyou County community.

The department’s monthly activity report listed 38 cases and 10 arrests. Officers also conducted 86 traffic stops throughout the month.

The overall incident total includes both calls for service and activity initiated by officers. It should not be read as a count of 1,923 crimes or separate criminal investigations.

Police also responded to 17 traffic collision incidents during October. The department said that total included collisions on private property, roadway collisions and hit and run incidents.

The update did not provide a breakdown of the types of arrests, the circumstances of the cases or whether any of the collisions involved injuries. It also did not include a comparison with previous months or October of last year.

The figures provide a snapshot of one month of police activity in Weed, California. On their own, they do not establish whether crime or traffic collisions are increasing or decreasing.
