Redding roads reopen after overnight critical incident
Redding police say all three intersections closed after an overnight critical incident have reopened and traffic restrictions have been lifted.

Traffic restrictions have been lifted at all three intersections affected by road closures following an overnight critical incident in Redding, according to an update from the Redding Police Department.
The reopened intersections are Cypress Avenue at Beverly Drive, Cypress Avenue at Parkview Avenue, and Hartnell Avenue at Henderson Road.
Police had initially warned that the closures could remain in place through the morning commute while investigators worked. The department’s latest update confirms those closures have ended and traffic restrictions at the listed locations have been removed.
The incident is under investigation by the Shasta County Multi Agency Officer Involved Critical Incident Response Team, known as OICIRT. The reopening announcement did not provide additional details about the incident.
