Redding police arrested Marty Lee Winn, 59, on October 27th after a drug sales investigation. Officers reported finding approximately 17 ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of fentanyl and evidence of drug sales at his home. Winn was booked into Shasta County Jail on a felony warrant and suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale.

A Redding man was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into suspected drug sales led officers to seize approximately 17 ounces of methamphetamine from his home, according to the Redding Police Department.

The department’s Neighborhood Police Unit had been investigating Marty Lee Winn, 59, of Redding, on suspicion of selling methamphetamine.

On October 27th, officers located Winn driving away from his residence and conducted a traffic stop. Police said he was arrested on an active felony warrant.

Officers then served a search warrant at his residence. According to the department, the search uncovered approximately 17 ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of fentanyl and additional evidence consistent with drug sales.

Winn was taken to the Shasta County Jail and booked on the felony warrant and suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale.

The department said Winn has a criminal history dating back to the 1990s, including nine previous arrests for drug sales. The release did not specify the outcomes of those arrests or identify the offense associated with his active warrant.

The allegations have not been proven in court. Winn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
