Redding Garden of Lights Opens November 20th With a New Holiday Market

Redding’s Garden of Lights is preparing to add a holiday market to its illuminated garden paths this season.

The seventh annual event at Turtle Bay is scheduled to open Friday, November 20th, 2026, and run on select nights through January 3rd, 2027.

Organizers describe more than two million lights spread across ten acres, with glowing tunnels, decorated trees and interactive features.

New this year is a European style Christkindl Market offering gifts, crafts, food and drinks.

Check the date on your ticket

The event takes place in the botanical gardens beside the Sundial Bridge and Sacramento River, with the listed address at 844 Sundial Bridge Drive in Redding.

The season does not mean the grounds are open every evening. Listed closure dates include November 30th and December 1st, December 7th and 8th, and December 14th and 15th.

Tickets start at $18, with pricing dependent on the ticket category and selected date. Children younger than 2 have no admission charge.

Before planning an evening around the lights, choose an available date and review the entry time, ticket price and any separate activity charges.

The new market adds another reason to allow time for the visit beyond a quick walk through the light displays.
