Young Entrepreneurs Get Their Own Market Day in Downtown Redding November 14th

The next business owner you meet in downtown Redding could still be in elementary school.
The Redding Children’s Business Fair is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Redding Public Market, 1551 Market Street.
Young entrepreneurs ages 6 through 14 can apply to run a business for the day, with priority given to applicants who live in Shasta County.
Kids take the lead
The fair is built around children developing and selling their own products or services. Handmade art, jewelry and other creations are among the examples organizers offer.
Parents may help with an application and support younger participants, but children are expected to take responsibility for their displays, customer conversations and sales.
Each business needs one application and may include up to three participating children. The booth registration fee is $20, and payment is required before the space is confirmed.
The planned event area includes the Public Market and surrounding Whistle Stop Park. Indoor or outdoor placement will depend on the final layout and weather.
Acton Academy Redding is organizing the event.
For shoppers, the fair is an opportunity to meet the young people behind the products and support a first experience in running a business.
