A suspect in Thursday’s Rogue Credit Union robbery in downtown Redding was arrested in Anderson the following day, after officers contacted him while he was walking in the roadway, according to the Redding Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as Thomas Davis, 32, of San Jose. During the October 30th contact, Anderson officers also discovered an outstanding arrest warrant related to a separate bank robbery in San Jose, the department said.

The Redding robbery was reported at approximately 12:46 p.m. Thursday, October 29th, 2026, at Rogue Credit Union, 1260 Pine Street. Police said a man entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives gathered evidence that led them to identify Davis as the suspect, according to the department’s October 30th update.

Following his arrest in Anderson, Davis was taken to the Redding Police Department’s Detectives Division and interviewed about the Rogue Credit Union robbery. He was later booked into Shasta County Jail on suspicion of robbery under Penal Code section 211 and on the outstanding arrest warrant, police said.

Redding police thanked the Anderson Police Department for its assistance in apprehending Davis.

The allegations have not been proven in court. Davis is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
