Placer County holiday gift drives support foster youth and seniors
The Placer County Sheriff’s Department is collecting new, unwrapped gifts for foster youth and seniors through Monday, December 7th. Donations can be dropped off in Auburn or Loomis, or purchased through Amazon wish lists.

Two holiday gift drives are underway in Placer County, giving residents a chance to brighten Christmas for foster youth and older adults.
In an announcement on its Facebook page, the Placer County Sheriff’s Department said it is accepting new, unwrapped gifts for its Foster Youth Toy Drive and Adopt a Grandparent Drive through Monday, December 7th.
Donations for seniors will benefit Seniors First. Gifts collected for foster youth will support the Holiday Miracle Program.
Residents can bring donations to either of these locations:
- Auburn Justice Center, 2929 Richardson Drive, Auburn.
- Loomis Substation, 6140 Horseshoe Bar Road, Loomis.
Those who prefer to shop online can use the department’s Amazon wish lists to have gifts sent directly to the agency:
The department thanked community members for supporting both drives and helping make the holidays brighter for local seniors and foster youth.
