Costumes, Crafts and Halloween Fun: Redding Library Hosts Family Parade October 31st
Redding Library invites children and caregivers to a Halloween parade at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, October 31st, following a spooky storytime and craft. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Halloween fun does not have to wait until after dark. Redding Library is inviting children and caregivers to celebrate with a parade through the library on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, at 11:15 a.m.
The Halloween Parade will follow a spooky storytime and craft, giving families a daytime way to enjoy the season together in a welcoming atmosphere. Shasta Public Libraries describes the event as family friendly and not too spooky.
Children can arrive as little ghosts, superheroes, witches, pirates, princesses or any other family friendly character. Costumes are encouraged but not required, so families can join the celebration whether or not they dress up.
The parade takes place at Redding Library, 1100 Parkview Avenue in Redding. The announced 11:15 a.m. time is for the parade. The library’s announcement does not specify a separate start time for the preceding storytime and craft.
For families looking for Halloween events in Redding, the library celebration offers a chance to enjoy stories, creativity and costume fun before the evening’s activities begin.
