Clearlake to hold public hearing on senior center project November 19th
Clearlake will hold a public hearing November 19th to review senior center renovations, grant spending and the expected completion timeline.
Clearlake residents can get an update on renovations at the city’s senior center during a public hearing Thursday, November 19th, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 14050 Olympic Drive.
The city will review work completed so far, when it expects the project to wrap up and how much grant money it has spent. The update will also cover the remaining grant balance and what the city expects to spend to finish the work.
The project at 3245 Bowers Avenue is funded through the state’s Community Development Block Grant program. In a November 2025 staff report, the city said accessibility and exterior improvements, including landscaping, had been completed under the grant. Staff requested an additional $30,000 to cover interior painting and higher landscaping costs, proposing a total budget of $175,004 at the time.
Project records are available at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Residents can contact Philip Sales at 707-994-8201, ext. 122, or [email protected] for project records or to ask about submitting written comments. Anyone who needs an accommodation to participate should contact Sales at least three days before the hearing.
